Sew it Fabulous is "keeping cool" this summer season of Basic Sewing with an additional new By Annie Basics class! This second class in the Basics series consists of 2 projects for the Beginner & Intermediate Sewist to learn some fundamental techniques for future sewing projects... and some fun along the way!
These next 2 projects, the Easy Does It and the Petit Four Baskets will be conducted on July 12.
Techniques include:
Installation of Zippers; Creating/Applying Binding; Stitching a Quilting pattern and making box corners.
These projects will help you to organize, store and carry your essentials for long-lasting use and make wonderful gifts for friends, family and even yourself!

Specific cutting details will be provided in-class as the preliminary/learning step.
| Requirements: | Sewing Machine (your own); Working knowledge of your sewing machine; Working knowledge to thread your machine and fill the bobbin; and a walking foot and how to attach it to your machine is HIGHLY Recommended. ** Other Notions needed: ** Easy Does It ** requires 2 fat quarters, in coordinating fabrics; sew-In foam stabilizer (Bosal); fusible interfacing and a 24" handbag zipper; thread to match fabrics. ** Petit Four Basket ** requires 2 fat quarters or just (2) 10" squares in coordinating prints/colors; sew-In foam stabilizer (Bosal) and thread to match fabrics. AND, the usual sewing notions: steam iron, rotary cutter/mat; a 6x24" ruler; scissors/thread snips/ clips/straight pins; chalk markers; hand sewing needles; scratch paper & pen for labeling pieces and making notes. |
