Beginner Sewing 1 - Machine Basics and Seams
Each of the Beginner Sewing classes conducted by Sew It Fabulous covers a specific topic "How To"... such as Basics/Threading your Machine, Winding a Bobbin, Reviewing the built-in Stitches of your particular machine and creation of a basic project, like a PillowCase which includes Straight and French seams. Check the supply list below.
Subsequent Classes will cover, Machine Zipper Insertion, Machine Buttons/Buttonholes, and finally Machine Hems and Mending.

| Requirements: | Your Existing Sewing Machine with its Owners Manual, Sewing "Basket" or Tool Box - For the Pillowcase (sewing seams portion of class) *****Materials Needed **** 1 Yard of Fabric for Main body, 1/8 yard for Band, and 1/4 yard for Cuff -each a different but coordinating color or print and matching Thread. **** And, yes, you can purchase the fabric at Sew It Fabulous prior to the start of class (10:30am) as the store opens at 10am. You may also certainly bring fabric from home if you like. |
